Pinterest

Yes, it's true, I am behind the curve here.  Pinterest has been around for a while, now, but I just discovered it.  What a nifty thing!  If you haven't heard of Pinterest, it's like a giant virtual pin board where, when you find cool stuff on the internet, you can mark (sort of like a bookmark) and Pinterest will save you a visual reminder of what you found.  It's addictive.

Most people, I have found, are completely hung up on food.  I have 24 pins, so far, and 12 of them are recipes.  I find these desserts (even though Michael can't eat them) and I put them on my board "Recipes I Would Love To Try (but probably won't)".  Then there's the quilting and craft projects that I have found, which go on the "Stuff I Will Never Finish" board. I also have a board for Spiritual reading and one for "Stuff That Was Amusing At The Time".  You get the idea.

I was slow to pick this trend up because it seemed to overlap with bookmarks.  But, it's more interesting than just bookmarks, because you get to see what other people have pinned, too.  It's a great way to pass ideas.  For example, I've gotten most of my really great recipes for stuff I will never make from my cousin in Colorado.

I just started a board for "Music I Would Like To Do".  There's nothing on it, yet.  I'm still too busy pinning recipes for Crock Pot Tater Tot Casserole and Cinnamon Roll Cake.  Mmmmm......

Cinnamon Roll Cake
You know...I really AM going to have to make this.
