#FiveFavorites: Bernadette Carstensen - A Young Local Artist's Work Catches my Eye

Time, once again, for Five Favorites over at Moxie Wife. Join in the fun and see what people are talking about this week.

This week, I am all about some art from local artist, Bernadette Carstensen.

I watched this young lady grow up in our parish here in Columbus, and her art has always amazed me. She recently posted a new piece ("Three Scenes from The Book of Revelation") and it prompted me to take another look at her blog, called simply Bernadette.

Bernadette is a graduate of Columbus College of Art and Design with a degree in Illustration. She works with fantasy characters from H.P. Lovecraft and also from Dungeons and Dragons, but her religious artwork is my favorite. Her mom and dad are friends of mine, so I might be a little biased. :)

If you're so inclined, please visit her blog and contact her to find out more about commissioning works or purchasing copies of what you see here.

  2. Thanks for looking. It just occurred to me last night that we don't talk much about Catholic artists and we need to.
